Refund policy
We understand that buying clothing online can be a bit tricky. That is why at The Tailor & his Lover, we have a generous return policy for any products that you are not happy with. From receipt of your order, you have 14 days to return the order to us if you are unhappy. There are no returns on any discounted/sale items or on limited edition one off pieces i.e Kimonos and Mamamia Dresses. Please ensure your return has track and trace as we cannot be responsible for items that are lost in transit to us.
In Store Purchase
You are welcome to return your item(s) for an exchange or store credit within 7 days of purchase, as long as item(s) are unworn and in new condition with tags attached and receipt present.
No refunds are offered unless an item is faulty. In this case, a refund, exchange or store credit will be granted as per the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. The Tailor & his Lover store credit is valid for 12 months and available for purchases in store only.
Online Returns
Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable. If you wish to exchange an item, you will be responsible for paying for returning your item, and the cost of shipping for the exchanged item will be charged to you as well. If simply returning an item, a refund will be given minus 15$ shipping cost within New Zealand.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item if you send it untracked. All shipments from The Tailor & his Lover are sent tracked.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded or exchanged. Sale items are final purchases.
